McLean would be occupying the brad new position of chief information officer of FairPoint Communications. It is almost as if FairPoint Communications has created the CIO position for the person (Kathleen McLean), instead of the other way round. McLean has more than 27 years of experience in the IT domain, and of these, 16 years have been in the sphere of telecommunications. FairPoint Communications wants to bring to fruition and increase the pace of various process and systems improvements that McLean will help to spearhead, with her level and extent of experience and expertise.
